Joe's Juice and Majanos

I have recently noticed two evil majanos on one of my rocks and I want to get rid of them before they harm my corals. (They already seem to be stinging my favia. ) I have some Joe's Juice, but there's no instructions on the bottle OR on their website as to how one actually administers the Joe's Juice to the majanos. Do I do it dry? Do I have to mix is with something and then squirt the mixture into the anemone's mouth? Any advice would be appreciated.

i never tried joes juice but if it's a powder then you need to mix it w/ ro into a paste.

my trick is to hold the syringe about half an inch above the manjano or aptasia and slowly squeeze the syringe. the paste should land right on the manjano. @ this point it should close up shrivel and die. another thing ,make sure your pumps are off or the kalk will blow all over the place.

Joes juice works on it (as does kalk paste). I found that I would Juice them but your never going to get them all and they will come back. I finally got rid of them by introducing a raccoon butterfly. He ate aiptasia and majanos.

My tank is too small for a raccoon butterfly - besides, I'm rather fond of all of my inverts. I'll have to remove the majanos manually. If they come back, they come back. I'll just do it again.

aptasia and manjo

ok people might say it doesnt work, but i boiled water and { needle}squirted it into the base of both and killed both off. 3 months later nothing came back. moved rock into ref to do it. also used purpled up to kill aptasia and it worked also. not saying it's a guarentee, but this worked for me and i havent had it come back

joes juice all the way. had devastating results and no sign since. it comes with a syringe and injector. Got those suckers right in their mouths.

after injected them,you MUST siphon out the remainder of the anemone and joes juice ,if you dont then youll have a chance of more spore getting all over the tank when turn on the pumps ,giving you more anemones in other places

So, the consensus seems to be that I should make it into a paste (kind of like toothpaste) with RO water, inject it directly into the anemone and wait for it to die. As it is dying, I should siphon out the water to get all of the little anemone spores. That seem about right?

pretty much ,,,just make sure all your pumps and PH are off and wait 20mins after injecting them starting to siphoning out

how about this..........

I would recomend you removing it this way.... boil some RO water (rather than tap water), and stick this up into a syringe. Injecting each majano with boiling water allowes you to scrape them off one by one with a dental tool. Some will be siphoned out with thin flexible tubing. In the meantime, a product called "Joe's Juice" promises to kill majanos without detriment to the reef.
