just a quick question on MH

i just put on my 72g bow a MH fixture 2x250 w t5 2 artnic and daylight ..i only run the 2x250 and 2 artinic ...i run 8am till 7pm ..11hrs .i think it might be too much.. what should they run for ?how many hrs a day ..i was using t5 before mh 12 hrs a day..can this hurt my coral ..some SPS and lots of softies.. also getting a little purple alage ..not coraline alage ..i think it might be cuz of the temp .up at 84 during day and drop at night ...any suggestion on lights ...

i run my light at 9 hrs mh and 11hrs on actinics. as for the temp try installing fans to remove some heat.

I have the exact same setup and i run my MH from 10am (the first of 2 comes on) to 5pm. The t5's i run from 830am to 7pm so i can observe my acans and LPS under actinics. I agree to use fans for the temp as you may start to lose the SPS with temps that high!
