Keep it? Or dump it?

Hi guys,
I want to use my old 150 as reef/frag tank.
I have plenty of dead rock which im going to use in this tank.

But i have about 10+ inches of live sand in here...well bc its been here over 10 years, its accumulated lots of detrius. So should i keed the sand bed n keep cleaning it? Or should i just dump the whole thing?

My other option would be to clean(wash off) the sand and put it back

What should i do?
