Anyone here work for the above? Especially their Service Contract Department!!
This is my first Gas Furnace experience and it has not been a good one at all.
From the 1st. week we moved in it has been a headache, both the furnace and the company.
I have a "Service Contract" with them which in itself is a great thing if only they were better about their appointment schedules.
For instance, I called two days ago about the furnace not coming on. They give me an appointment for today for the hours of 12 PM to 6 PM, so I had to wait 2 days.
Now here comes where I loose my patience.:irked:
After waiting 2 days in this cold house, the guy shows up early (which is great) and proceeds to work on the furnace. He gets it working, but decides that it is not shutting off when he drained all the water out of it so he goes to his van and comes back to work on another part.
After standing for like an hour I left him to his work and came upstairs with his assurance that he did not need anything..
After another 30 or 40 minutes he hollers up the stairs that he is finished. He leaves and I wait for the house to warm up. After a half hour and I don't smell the heat I go to the thermostat and I turn it up to 90. I go down to the basement and the furnace is not working.
I immediately call the company and inform them of the problem. The f___________ answer the woman gives me is that they cannot get him or any other service person to my house until tomorrow afternoon between 12 PM and 6 PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked:
I explained that I am not in the best of health, and that their representative is the one responsible for the furnace not working not me. NOthing I said made a bit of difference to these people.
Is there any other company that services gas furnaces that also sells Maintenance/Service Contract for the unfortunate times when these d__n things go down?
I know that for oil burners there are 100's of oil companies that will gladly sell you contracts. And my old one was great. I never had to wait more then 12 hours for service. They were usually at my place within a couple of hours.
