korallin reactor c1501 repair question

hey guys the top piece of my reactor that comes out broke off. it is the chamber pipe that releases the water. my question is do i use silicone of acrylic weld to repair this?

i was told u cant. i was also told there was a jb weld that is aquarium safe which i havent found yet. i know u can buy top piece for approx 50 bucks. because im not 100% i wudnt want to give u any other advice but im curiousas to ehat others say about this

the thing is that my reactor is the older version which is one piece on top and opens from the bottom. would pvc cement work?
