Led lighting

I was looking on ebay and I came upon a light systen which was really cheap. 225 blue led panel and it is 14 watt in total. I asked the seller what the lumen was. Im still waiting on reply. You guys think i should buy it? Its for my 20 long. Its 20 led by 20 led.

How is it a 225 led unit when its 20 led X 20 led? The numbers don't add up unless you have typos in your post 20 X 20 is 400 not 225.

I would stay away from any kit I found on eBay for cheap but that's just me.

Yeah I'm thinking there are just a lot of typos. I think the number of led's and watts are all typos. Figured I'd see if he changed any of the numbers. 20X20 and 14 watts seem obsurd

Those are cheap grow or therapy lights and are crap.

A lot of cheap leds are only 1w that like a regular fixture on a fish only tank and it wont be strong enough for any corals you have to know the watts on each led.

I have been using Solaris LED units for ~4yrs...they use 1w LEDs, and while not the 'latest' technology, they grew SPS on the sandbed of a 27" deep (top to bottom) tank, while being over 6" above the water
