Light over Chaeto

does it matter how close my light to my chaeto is? if light is to close would it harm the chaeto? light is 16W (75watt) 5100K Fluorescent Flood Light.

Its fine, go as close as you would like to put it.

I have a regular 7 watt compact spiral flouresent bulb on mine, pretty much right up against the glass. Chaeto growing very well.

I get salt creep on it from it being so close to it.Same flood light here.
