Is there any correlation with lighting and aggression? When I turn off my actenics, just the white lights, my purple tang goes off on my sailfin. When I turn the blue lights back on, they swim side by side, no issues. Is this just a fluke??
A lot of times the changing of the lights, on/off, signal things to a fish. It could be feeding time, which fish will fight to get in certain places to take advantage of the food that will be coming soon. Another could be the lights going off and the fish are fighting to get into their positions where they're going to sleep at night.
That's interesting. But this seems like even the tone of the light makes a difference. If you look at this video, you can see how the tension in the tank just switches when I turn off the blues and leave just the white. Even the clowns go at it: https://youtu.be/Ow-kqZSHWeo
