I just got a good deal on a setup. I just picked up a 150gal aga tank, 40gal acrylic sump, stand, overflow box, pump, and all plumbing for $150.00.

My question is, on my current setup, I have 2 x 250 watt metal halide lighting and 220 watt pc lighting. Will this be enough lighting for LPS and SPS on the 150 gal? The tank measurments are 48Lx24Wx30H. Is this lighting o.k. for a tank this deep?

Thanks for any help.

That lighting is fine just place the more light loving corals higher and keep your water clean.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going from a 55gal to the 150gal. I was kind of worried about my lighting with the extra depth of the 150.

Now I need to decide to drill the tank or not. I found a mirror and glass co. in my town that will drill for $15 per hole. They won't guarantee anything though. I'm thinking about just using the overflow box that came with the deal. What is the likelihood of something going wrong with the drilling?

You'll not be able to keep colors on acros on the bottom of the tank, but you probably don't want that either...

I'd look for somebody else that guarantees it for $25.
