I currently have 2 250Watt 20K MH Blue Life SPS bulbs on my reef tank that have been there a while. I'm looking to change bulbs - it's just about time. The Blue Life bulbs have a nice color - not too blue as far as 20K's go. I was thinking about going to 14K's that might help with coral growth.
I still want to keep the nice color - a little less blue should still work, but I didn't want to go totally white. I was advised to look into Ushios or Geiselmann Megachromes. Anyone have experience with those types of bulbs. I wanted a 14K that was bluer than the normal. Especially since I would be coming down from 20K's. thanks.
