Lighting question for an aquapod

I have a stock aquapod right now and was wondering what are my upgrade options:
Could i put t5's in it?
are led's afforadable?
Could this be done DIY?
How much would each option run?

and yes i want to keep the stock hood.

the current nep 0" 6 bulb t5 will allow you to keep anything from lps to sps, led is a option if you hae 300+ to spend, you wont be able to keep stock hood with t5's nor with most options for led's unless u get the nanotuners led upgrade then ur around 350 for it
