I'm trying to light a 90 gallon Aquarium thats about 24" deep. I have a few options at my command and I can't seem to figure out what to do. Guys I need and am hurting for some suggestions.

I have a

Hamilton Technology 4X96 Watt PC Actinic Fixture w/ Fan and 4 50/50 Bulbs

Ice Cap 660-009 with 4 X 110 Watt VHO T12 - 2X Blue Actinic 2X Daylight Actinic

100-200 Dollars Money.

What to do?

Which is the best lighting setup..

I want to be able to keep Soft Corals and have them Flourese Significantly.
I also want to be able to trade and buy a few small frags of Stony corals and hopefully have them prosper and grow in my tank.

I plan a moderate bioload of fish.

the fish wont matter at all as to what kind of light you have.

as for the corals I would suggest going with the hamilton fixture that you already have. IF they lamps are old it may be worth replacing them. IMO for softies that would be a great setup. IF YOU END UP replacing the bulbs you might purchase 2xactinics and 2x10k s so that you can have ONLY actinics on at some point... it looks cool :P)

Good luck with your new tank!

You will only need MH if you want to keep stony corals. I use 3 96W 4 bulb Power Compacts. They each have two of each acitinic and regular. I am very pleased with the look.
