What the best way to set up the time for a Light cycle how many hours for each


I have a 150 MH
50 wat antenics
and moon lights
tank is 40 gal

There's no best way. Personal preference takes precedent.

I agree. Personal preference takes precedence but also the contents of your tank have a lot to do with it. I leave my MH lights on about 8 hours a day. The actinics come on two hours before the MH and run for three hours. They then come on one hour before the MH's go off and remain on for two hours. The moon lights come on when the actinics and MH lights are off at night.
