Lighting

I am getting a 120G tank its 64 inches long.
I was wondering if I could get way with getting a 48 inch Lighting system or do I have to get the 60 inch

Depends on what your trying to keep in the tank. Even if it where a fish only tank I would want the entire tank nicely lit so I could see my fish and other inhabitants. If it was me I'd lite the entire tank.

I have a used Aqua Medic fixture thats 48 inches long and it has 2 250 watts MH de bulbs and 2 t5's 54 watts for sale..

i have a 6 ft tank... and 5 ft of lights... i keep lower light softies on the outsides. everything seems happy so far...
