Just wondering......Recently I bumped into a buddy of mine that I recently found out his family owns a fish store. I told him that I Got into the hobby not too long ago. I suggested that he became a listed vendor here in our MR community. Well he refused it, but he did offer me that he can supply me the live stocks and let me use his accounts to order stuff to sell here on MR. Just curious if in that scenerio Do I have to sign up to be a listed vendor.

Will,

You need to get a resale license and report sales tax like all vendors here should, I can tell you how and where to apply without the need to pay the accountant or a lawyer. I think NYC wants ~$90 service fee though. At the beginning you need to file tax every month, then you can do quarterly if you business is not too much. If for some reason you start to import live stock there is another license you have to get.
