Witold, Are you trying to feed the dragon face pipefish I see on the home page? If so, grass and ghost shrimp are going to be useless. You need live mysis or tigger pod sized foods. Enriched adult brine will work for the short-term too. If you are in a rush, I suggest you order live mysis from Paul Sachs ASAP at http://www.aquaculturestore.com/swinverts.html.
Thanks for this info. You are right - I am trying to provide a variety of food to the dragon face. Actually the fish currently feeds on various pods in my system as well as tigger pods. I may order live mysis too.
hey dom. me too. i got a dragon face pipefish from one of the mr member here. i think she ate all the mysis from the last batch. how do you choose male/female pairs of peppermints or cleaners?Gotcha. I'll get you some egg-carrying grass shrimp. Their fry will offer nutritional food for your dragon face. If you don't have cleaner shrimp or peppermint shrimp you could also add them to the tank (in pairs) as their fry will continuously offer food for the dragon face as well.

will go out and get some pairs of peppermints and perhaps some sexy shrimps. always want some of those. You don't have to sex them. Any two will make a pair (hermaphroditic). Dragon Face's are pretty tough to keep. You need a large well established tank with pods and/or supplement frequently. Addling live shrimp that will spawn regularly helps big time.
gotcha....will do..I still wouldn't rely on the system to produce enough live foods on its own. Certainly the frequency at which you need to supplement is not as urgent as someone with a smaller system.
If you added a bunch of breeding shrimp you could get away with occasional supplementation.
