HI everyone.

We bout 45lbs of live rock from DFS/liveaquaria the rock has cured out and this weekend we are adding it to the tank. My question is what do you guys do with all the rubble that winds up in the bottom of the shipping container, we added it to the mix of curing but now what to do with it?

I can understand using some pieces to brace the stacking the bigger pieces but what else to do with it?

As always thanks again

I like to keep the rubble to mount frags on later.

I have actually gone to the LFS to buy rubble before.

Rubble is good!

Yes, rubble is good

It can be used to mount frags or used in filters instead of media. Toss it into your sump or filter for later use or start a pico and use it there! 8O

Rubble can used to provide a breeding ground for amphipods/copepods etc, where fish can't get at them (people sometimes do this when setting up a tank for a mandarin, putting an upturned strawberry basket from the superstore over the rubble, to stop the fish entering). In other words, also useful for a refugium, I'd imagine.

Same here. I keep rubble in my little AC 70 fuge for mounting frags and for the pods to do what pods do. ;)

I also bough rubble from my LFS although they don't sell it any cheaper than their LR ($8/lb). I use it for frags and "pod pile" (amphipod factory).
