live sand question

im getting about 120lbs of live sand tom from a MR member here. should i wash it with hot water it or dump it in my tank? i currently have 35lbs of live rock in.

let it sit in whatever temp your tank is going to be.I believe by washing it,you might be killing beneficial bacteria.
