Local Filefish

A friend of mine was catching seahores and caught this filefish. Does anyone know what it is, I could not find a picture on the net

No It is a Caribbean fish. Nice catch Andy!

Before you bring something home and put it in your tank, no matter where you got it from be it a store, fellow reefer or the wild you should know exactly what it is and how to care for it before this happens.

BTW, DO NOT PUT IT IN YOUR REEF TANK! It eats corals :wink1:
