Local SPS

I'm starting to get a little nervous about my move and re-stock.I'm an SPS freak, and out here in AZ SPS is everywhere and alot of the pieces are wild colors and cheap. I've been calling alot of LFS's over there in NY and many have told me that they don't have much SPS. Is this true!? Where is everyone getting their choice SPS pieces from?? Trading with locals? online? or is there some low key stores that have the good stuff??

A lot of hunting but trading is working but you also have to be careful with that cause some guys are a lot of talk and no show or do... there is a good place in nj but dont know about ny.. In nj its called reefs to reptiles...good luck

There is plenty of Sps in NY, maybe not at the bad LFS but most good one have them

I have a fellow reefer that will be having a frag of most each colony I have shipped out once i get back and the tank is ready. Thanks for the offer though!! Also a LFS near me called Reef Culture said they will ship me whatever I'd like, so hopefully that will make things a little easier as well.

be careful to qt.all sps and check with a magnifying glass my last piece which came from A local fish store came with AEFW eggs not caught by me or them and bamm wiped out all of my sps. one by one cost about 2k gone thought his corals where bug free since I bought from him before ..

Just message MGNY, he has some really nice LE stuff to choose from.. He's in Long island. Many pieces in my tank came from him.. He's also a super nice guy. Here's a pic of my tank.

depending on where on long island you are country critters has some nice stuff. aqua hut has a lot of stuff at good prices but its not as high quality. you can find some really nice pieces at country critters but you'll be paying for it
