this guy is about an inch long, and to the naked eye he seems ok, but i took this and his fin appears to have spots on it, that don't look like the rest of his spots. what do you think?
not to mention he's been hiding in one corner of the tank for about a month. now he's out in the open all of the sudden. normal behavior....if i didn't know him better! 8O

I have the same Watchman goby, and have had him for about 3 months.
I dont seem him that often. He normally stays under structure. In the evening I see him come out and wonder. As far as your pic, it looks like mine. Mine has spots on is fins, but they are blue like the rest. Perhaps yours being so small in size it is just hard to see the color of them.

Does he still eat normal?

i just dropped some food infront of him and he did nothing. he is breathing normal as far as i can tell.
there are some nitrates present, but so little it shouldn't matter. everything else is "0".

I don't think that looks like ich, but it is hard to tell. They just look like markings to me, but I have never had a watchman so i don't know if those are normal markings or not.

the markings on the body, and the markings on the fins are different. the fin markings are somewhat raised, and plain white. the body markings as you can see have green or blueish borders around them.

The body markings are normal. The ones on the fins, are they there all the time or do they change? What I mean is sometimes gobies get grains of sand on those fins and because they have a decent slime coat it sticks.

i am not sure. this is the first time this guy is out in public. you see, we bought him, he found a hole in a rock, and barely puts his head out to eat.
i kinda feel ripped off really....i bought a watchman that doesn't watch!
this might be a HIDEMAN gobie

like i said, he's really tiny, so it's hard to see anything. i just noticed these marks when i was playing with the macro setting on my cheezy camera.

my powder brown has ich for sure. i'm getting ready to move him to the hospital tank, as soon as i can get it stabilized.
i would like to know if i have to get them both out, but i guess i'll have to give it some time.
as far as the sand, it's possible, but most of the sand is much bigger than those spots.
