I'm looking at getting a skimmer for my upcoming tank project, a 120g that is mainly SPS with a medium bio-load of fish.

I've heard the MSX and Octopus skimmers are essentially the same thing, is this true?

I'm currently looking at:
- MSX 200 $280
- Octopus Recirculating DNW-200 Skimmer $280
- NEW Octopus Extreme Skimmer Series 200 - $290
- Octopus Needlewheel NW-200 Skimmer - $220

Which would you get and why? $300 is the max I'd like to spend (not counting shipping). They also offer a dual recirculating 150 series for the Octopus but wasn't sure if a smaller dual recirc was better than a larger single recirc.

Any help is appreciated. Never deal with these before so I am unsure.

I do the extreme 200, it's basically a bubblemaster clone, uses the same pumps too :D

Look at a lot of the higher end skimmers, not too many (if any) are recirculating, they move volume of both air and water, and that seems to be a pretty good combo.
