looking for skimmer

hey guys i just bought a 30 gal deep blue rimless tank. im building a custom sump,so i would like to have the biggest possible skimmer. i was going to buy dukes vertex 180 but is that too much overkill,,,,its goin to be a mini mixed reef,all reccomendations are valued,,,thanks
