Had this pair about 4 + years and had given away most of the fry. Female (the one that didn't brood the eggs so I assume F) looked fine Sunday night and Monday when I checked the tank was being snacked on by my serpent stars.

They hadn't been breeding for the past 6 months or so, possibly age related? They were adults when I got them so possibly add a year - anyone have any reference points on lifespan / breeding viablilty on their pairs?

These wonderful little fish are about to be redlisted which is ok by me, I just wish I had kept some of the babies over the years. If I do get more it will have to be captive bred, wild bangaii's have had a horrible survival rate lately from what I've heard.

I'm sure you will be able to find a captive bred pair if you go looking. Possibly in Houston or Dallas.
