I'm pricing up my dream tank and am debating on whether to get the low Iron Glass for the front panel, the problem is i don't know what the difference is between the look of low iron and regular tank glass, does anyone have any pics that show the difference you get.

i know it's only $125 extra for the LI glass but i could really do with saving as much cash to get better equipment to go with it, i have decided on the Euroreef CS12-1 although i keep hearing good things about the ASM's for roughly half the price, Icecap ballasts, extra return pumps.

Also what would you guys recommend for bulkhead sizes and how many in a 240, i thought 5 would be ok for closed loops, 2 as straight forward closed loops Drain/Return and the other 1 as feed for a couple of 3/4 seaswirls.

any help/ideas or links to pics greatly appreciated

Anton :D

Posted similiar query on low iron glass on another forum http://www.canreef.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18348.

After reading the posts and seeing a couple different tanks in a LFS, I'm leaning towards the low iron. On regular glass, the green tint is quite noticable at least with side by side comparisons.

The only thing I can say for the bulkheads, as still sorting that out myself, is easier to have them now (even if you don't use them right away) than adding later.

It's worth every dime of that $125. The thicker the glass, the greener regular glass looks too. Just spend the money. You can go back and change you mind of this later. You can always wait a little bit longer for money to come. I would. You're going to be looking at this tank for the next 10 - 20 years. $125 is nothing over the long haul.
