Mag Pump Question

Is it true that the difference between a mag 5 and 7 is the motor? My mag 5 broke down on me and I was wondering if I just change the impeller I'll have a mag 7 in my hands

Right, so if i just switch the mag 5 impeller with the mag 7 impeller shouldn't it work? I think I've read this off somewhere I can't really remember

I'm pretty sure the mag 7 has a larger motor but I'm not 100% positive. I'm sure someone who knows for sure will chime in.

I would not sweat it just run the Mag seven and dial it back a little if necessary until you can get a replacement mag 5.

Mag 5 & 7 is the same motor, different impellars.
