About 2 months now with no problems. I used to use the brs mag. 3 cups Epsom salt and 5 cups mag flakes to 1 gallon of Rodi water. Then I strain 2x through coffee filter to get the impurities out. I also use the Dow flakes and baking soda for the alk and cal for about 3yrs now with great results.

Never thought of the coffee filter. I usually let the impurities sink to the bottom and siphon out the top clear liquid. I've been using this mix for almost a year and works good.
