Marco Rock addition question...

Ok,I searced before I posted but I want to be 100% before I add it ....I have had the rock in a garbage pail for about a month with 3 powerheads ..I just checked Ammonia today and it is at 0 ppm is it now safe to add to the main tank or should I do more tests,if so what else?Or should I give a small water change and wait a little longer ?Thanks...

what color is the water? and how many times have you changed out that water?

The water is clear and has been changed twice since I started using old tank water ....

have you tried shaking it out and seeing if anything comes out? I think if it's clear, no junk left, no ammonia, nitrates, etc then it should be good to go.

If you are nervous, only add one piece of rock at a time. Check your parameters, and when they look good, add the next piece.
