Something to keep in mind when talking about this stuff is that if your corals are showing better color and growth it just means that the food your currently feeding your tank isn't providing your coral with what it needs to get that color and PE.

A good frozen mix food like Rods Food, Prime Reef Blend, or the seafood mixes people have been DIYing should take care of whatever is missing that the reef snow is taking care of. These foods are better to be feeding your tank with because it provides better nutrition to your fish as well over flake/pellets for the most part and most brands. There are a few exceptions to certain pellet/flake brands that do cover all the nutritional bases.

If your just feeding flake then yes this reef snow stuff is a great supplimentation, but if your already feeding your tank right then you shouldn't need this stuff.

Yes the food you feed your fish will also help to feed the corals as well, but the amount of particles small enough for spa to eat is minimal and that is why you supplement with reef snow or other types of food like that. These foods also contain particles aimed just for the corals that mysis or rods food can't provide.

I don't feed frozen coral foods if that is what you are talking about. But people ask me all the time how do I get such good growth. You have to feed specific items to different corals and inverts and fish. I wouldn't feed my dog cat food and say its getting enough to eat and im sure that food formulated specifically for a cat will be great for my dog that needs entirely different nutrition. Requirements.
