Marinedepot acquired by BulkReef Supply

Just received notification that Marinedepot was acquired by Bulkreef. Interesting, I ordered 100s of items from Marinedepot over the years. Less competition now, but could be good from an LFS perspective.

Good ， marine depot was really bad and also very bad customer service. I stop ordering from marine depot because they won’t refund me a broken product they sent.

So I guess that is how they spent some of that big mound of cash acquired from Bertram Capitol? Usually lack of competition among industry leaders is NOT a good thing. I've had good luck with BRS for many years and VERY poor experiences with Marine Depot. Not sure if this is going to lure me back to ordering from MD. Really wondering how this is going to benefit the average reefkeeper, other than slightly better customer service. I'm already expecting price competition to stale mate, on products that are already mostly overpriced.

It's too bad. BRS doesn't have the best customer service. I think I'll go back to using Premium Aquatics..
