Maroon clown picking the tips of torch coral?

I have now witnessed my maroon clown nipping and pulling off the white ball tips of my torch coral, is this normal? Is the only solution to get
rid of one of them ? He is not even eating them he pulls them
off and spits it out and it goes floating around the tank.
Why is he doing this?

my clowns do the same...i guess its normal
my torch looks happy all the time.
