Wow, had a fabulous time at the MBI (Marine Breeders Initiative) Workshop in Michigan last weekend.

I'm one of those non-flyers -- I know... thousands fly every day; but I do not, and I know I'm not alone. I have a small class C RV that I, and two good friends, drove up there. An easy 12 hour drive with shared driving.
Tal Sweet, and the Marine Aquarium Society of Michigan (MASM) did a bang-up job of hosting this workshop.
Speakers were: Dan Underwood of seahorsesource.com on Seahorse breeding (my own specialty -- an *excellent* presentation by Dan); Richard Ross on breeding cephalopods; our own Todd Gardner on his ground breaking breeding endeavors; and, Eric Cassiano on, "Success and complications in species-specific embryological and larval rearing, and future projects" -- LOL, sounds insanely technical, but Eric is a great speaker and put it in terms we all could understand!
That was all day Saturday, 7/28. On Sunday, Tal hosted a BBQ at his home on the (um... I'm not sure which) lake. And more to learn from Tal's fishroom setup. I'm presently trying to decide how to set up my own breeding room -- racks, etc.
Just one damn fabulous weekend!
