Mesh to cover my tank

I have a open top tank and i want to get fish that may jump. So i want to know if anyone has any mesh laying around they can spare/sell to cover my tank.

Why not get eggcrate from home depot?

Eggcrate is not effective for fairy wrasses, flasher wrasses, small gobies, firefish....well...you get the point.

Plus the purpose of egg-crate is to "diffuse light."

not sure if this'll work, why don't you get a mosquito net and hang it over the tank, and secure the edges to the tank.

Why not PM the "Screen Queen" (KathyC), she has built quite a few off these and has them down to a science.

Thanks. I will try to look around. I want a material that wont leach any harmful chemicals in the water(just incase water splashes on it) and not to thick or fine that it blocks the light from the corals. That micron thread seems like a good idea though.

How microns go for the mesh measurements? Is it the higher the microns, the bigger the squares? Or is it the other way around?

Like is 1000 microns finer than 500 microns?
