depends on what you want to keep, i am going back to t5's for new setup myself. like the less electric, less heat, better ability to have more differant pars. ive had t5's 150w mh and now 250w mh. some will say the shimmer but i got it from t5's also not as much but ill give that up for the rest of the stuff. had great color and growth from t5's also but i ran 3 tek retro kits also 6 39w bulbs

MH people will love MH T5 people will love T5 fact is you will pay more and be able to take care of certain corals better with MH if you have the money want to pay the bills and a chiller do MH

For a 55 I would rather use a t5 fixtuer then 2 mh's. you can keep some sps's with the t5s. i had great growth with a purple bonsi in a few under a t5 fixture.

T5's are the way to go especially, if you get a few of the the really blue atintics. they are like black lights.
keep in mind though, you will always be saying to yourself, "maybe I should have got the MH"
So, make the mistake like I did and get the MH. Now, you are more confused,,,, and less confused at the same time.....

albfelix is selling icecap 660's...
take one of those....and 4 pairs of waterproofendcaps/standoffs...4 icecap reflectors plus the bulbs of your choice.....and u got a overdriven light spectacular for almost anything u want to keep on a 55g:sgrin:
