Mixing esv salt

question. is it okay to add each part of salt while my 5 gal bucket is still filling up.. lets say half way from being full? i do weekly 5 gal water changes. i normally start adding each part while my bucket is filling up. do u guys do this

I would wait, I am new to the salt but i heard mixing it is very important with all the water

To make 5 gals. You need 4.9 gals of RO. If you have it all pre-measured, it shouldn't be a problem.

Why rush? Patience and preperation is key for esv

I'm not buying ESV anymore. Over rated and didn't see anything different to SPS or fish. Not a fan of the extra room to store the gallons and salt plus magazium bag and spoons and cups. Plus extra money and result were same as the other salts. Yes it was clearer and you can add it right a way. When I make my salt I mix it for 24 hours anyway so wasn't a big deal. I've used it for a year so that was enouch time so I can rate this salt to the other salt I used in past.

OFf topic, but how big physically is the 200gallon box of ESV?

2 boxes. Each box probably 18-20 x 18-20 x 18-20. One slightly smaller

Esv ..just made new salt water last night, 20 gallons. Depending on my mood, i kinda find it fun to mix and calculate part a and part b mag - etc. Other days i'm like "screw this" i'm going back to h2 ocean salt.

ESV is a good salt, it's easy to mix and the control is great. I would wait until you have all the water, it mixes quickly anyway so why rush.

I use esv salt also.. In this hobby you never want to rush anything..

Although I feel strongly that ESV salt is better than other brands, I'm too lazy (and apathetic) to use it. I like hucking in my 1-stage salt into my mixing vat, and not having to meter different parts of a salt mix.
