Monti cap dark tips

Any ideas why my monti cap tips are dark? I recently added carbon after not using it for a while. Could that be the problem?

When you use carbon the water become almost crystal clear. More light passes through the water therefor your corals are getting more light than before. This can cause bleaching. That's one probability...What color caps are those?

if, u use Seachem and don't rinse good, yes relese lots of black dust.

I don't use carbon, i don't have many sps either.
