Anyone keep multiple rabbitfish species or a school of one species in a tank? how would they compare to keeping multiple tangs? similar dynamic? I'm currently maxed out on tangs, but only have one foxface in there, so I'm thinking if I also keep rabbitfish, I can double up on herbivores.

I have multiple Rabbitfish and Foxfaces and you can keep them together without too many problems. They're not like Tangs, as they don't fight that much with each other, but they will develop a pecking order.

They need a good size tank, as they grew fairly fast, getting about 8"-12" in a short period of time. They spook very easy so a good size tank, with a lot of space is needed. They need a lot of green and will eat soft corals. You need to be careful with a bunch of them in the tank, as the spins are venomous.

I like to mix and match, which is what I currently have. There are about 4 or 5 different Rabbitfish and 3 or 4 different Foxfaces that you can choose from. the great thing two is outside of the Magnificent Foxface, and maybe the Scribble Rabbitfish, they're all fairly cheap, $20-$40 range.
