my clown fish are either killing themselves off or they are getting pulled into my koralia powerhead , why is it so hard to get these damn clowns off the ground!? all im asking is is for a mated pair dag nabbit!!! salt water fish are such jerks sometimes jumping out of tanks and doing whatever they want ! i am so f&*^%$(g agravated with this hobby!!

on the other hand my softies and acans are thriving amazingly (knock on wood)

lol ive had my clowns for almost a year and they still havent done the nasty.

Thats why its important to have the correct amount of area available to suit how many clowns you have- unless you buy a mated pair you have to select 1 that is bigger then the other by a descent margain. If not theyll fight and possibly kill each other over establishment of the pecking order.

I always advise people to buy a pair thats mated already.

and thanks jimmy im actualy considering doing that mated pair with anemone purchase i have heard about before.

oh my parameters are good im just missing some damsels im sure they may have met my cat, but the clowns just fight or get sucked in by koralia my starfish wrasse snails softies and hermits are all ok and i have one clown, i just cant seem to be able to keep 2 at once and its getting me choked up a bit thats all, any advice?

I would concur if your fish are jumping there's got to be a reason for it. Stress or some water parameter. Damsels are known to be aggressive so your other fish could be getting harassed by them. Knowing you are in this predicament, whether it is challenging or not I think you should make a cover for the tank out of respect for the animals.
