my z.desjardinii seems pretty healthy to me ,but he alwyas seems like he is about to whig out. he doesnt but he seems like he is about to sometimes he just looks stressed. other than that he seems totally fine

any ideas?

How big of a tank is he in? My sailfin spazzes out from time to time and I am sure it is because his tank (120) is too small for such a large active fish. His color get all dark and he dashes around, he looks like he has pent up energy to me.

my tank is 220gal ..what i thinkis going on is he sees his reflection in the front pane of glass and he thinks its another one of him so he acts goofy to try and scare it or w/e

lol what a dope

How large is the fish? I've seen other tangs act that way when they were too large for their tank.

That's a possibility too. One time I held a mirror to my tank thinking I could get my flasher wrasse to flash, and my tang saw his reflection and was on the warpath looking for that other tang for a while. I shudder to think what he would have done to "it"! 8O

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere at some point that the reflection on the front glass is a visual illusion that only you can see from the outside. The fish don't see the reflection. Maybe someone else can confirm this...

Maybe it's you he's trying to scare! :lol:
