really these are no different then the seaswirls buut controllable correct ?

We feel they are much nicer product than seaswirls, they can mover 360 degrees and come complete with controller.

Definitely neat :)
Is that the suggested installation - up through the overflow?

Kathy, the great thing about these units, is you can install them anyway you want! The return in the overflow is the always the perfect candidate, the piping is already there! No reason to entirely re-plumb your returns or add extra pipes to your system.

The overflow return is also a great choice because there is no stress on the unit due to piping or tubing hanging on the unit from the sump, it already at the level it needs to be.

I have hooked up to my return line in the overflow. I'm currently running a mag 18 for my return [ I know...thats alot ] . I"m going to do a short video to show the movement I'm getting, very impressed.

maybe you should change the clamps your using to a plastic ratchet type clamp. I never been a fan of using though clamps above the tank, they will rust fairly quickly. i know they say a Little rust in the tank is no biggy, but one i rather be safe then sorry especially if it's avoidable, second my other concern is that when they do rust it can become a real problem to remove them which could damage your WS do to excessive pressure on the fittings due to trying to remove. They look great though.

Unfortunately, I did not have any 3/4" plastic clamps with me.
