my readings, help me out

have a gallon tank and just did a water change
days ago and was doing a reading
and tese are my results
pH 8.2
NO2-0
NO3-2.5
Ammonia-0
Alk, Normal

Salinity 1.026

the only thing in the tank right now is 3 snails and a green tipped frogspawn.

there is about 20 lbs of live rock and about 8 lbs of live sand.

Mg is on the high side and so if Ca, but you have next to nothing in your tank to use them up so as you start adding thing it should come down.

Whats Normal alk?

Other than that your levels are fine, just get rid of the NO3

What salt are you using and what, if anything, are you dosing?

well the test kit that i use is from red seafor the alk and it does not show numbers its just says low normal and high

I'd get better test kits for Alk, Ca, Mg, and Nitrates.....

okie dokie i was thinking of getting the salifert ones
