Nano Cube- Bare Bottom?

Just wondering, does anyone have a nano/cube setup with no sand?

I am setting one up now. I cut a piece of eggcrate to fit the bottom.

All the crap and dietrus will get stuck in the eggcrate places you cant get to with a vacuum to suck it out. Trust me go with starboard siliconed to the bottom of the tank

i am not sure you need anything under it, how much rock you putting in the nano? i know some say rock against glass is bad idea and i will get flamed for it. if your setting up a stack that is unstable i think you would be ok... jmo
