Hi guys, I need some help! I am trying to catch a female lyretail anthias and I struck out 2x using a modified ultra life reef trap. I have he door of the trap rigged w rubber bands and tried it twice. Yesterday i tried it on the bottom, she wouldn't go in. Today i tried suspending it about mid tank thinking that she usually doesn't eat off the bottom. She wouldn't go in. If I even get close tongue tank with my net, she sees it and scrams.
I do know where she sleeps, but i think it's a cave made by two separate rocks, so
I'm not sure if removing a rock will work. I really don't want to dismantle my rockwork, and I really can't, I'm 8 days postoperative lumbar spinal fusion, so messing with rocks and leaning over the tank isn't ideal for me.
I'm hoping there are some tricks I haven't tried yet....
