I just switch from Rowaphos to Bulk Reef Supply GFO. Their direction states 2 grams per gallon. Thats comes out to 250 grams for my 125 gallon. What is the conversion to numbers of teaspoon, tablespoon or cup?

Grams is a measure of mass while teaspoon, etc are measures of volume so to get an exact conversion you need to know the density of GFO. Best bet is to email the manuafacturer or if you have a kitchen scale, you can measure it out in ounces and convert it.

yes grams are measurement of weight/ volume yes 1/2+ a pound of GFO

are you using it in a phosaban reactor?
if so dont give it much thought fill up reactor run some r/o water through it to wash out the dust and go
I run 2 full phosaban reactors on my 180 no problems

Thanks everyone for your input. My wife cooking book had the conversion. Go figure. This would have been the last place I would have looked. Or by the way, 250 grams is equal to approx. one cup.
