need filter suggestions for a 10g nano reef

im using a simple AGA 10g tank... a reliable and trusted source suggested an aquaclear hang on but i wanted to see what everyone else thinks before i actually do anything... i want something with not that heavy of a flow but alot of cleaning power

For that amount of $, you might be better off buying a small all in one tank

It depends on the bio load and what you are going to have in there.The disadvantage with the aquaclear is it will suck up some of your animals.Keep a close eye on temp.a 10 gal will over heat quickly in the summer months.

An aquaclear is probably your best bet then..you can always mod it so it does about the same as the one you linked

I have AquaClear HOB filters (all the way back from my freshwater days). I don't think I've set up a tank without them. They're silent, efficient, and move a good amount of water. You can adjust their flow as well.

Water changes would go far in this tank as well.

I'd go with the Aquaclear. I have one on a 10g tank - the tank and the filter (and the fish in the tank) are nine years old and everything is still going strong.
