Need Help!! Aiptasia on clam

I just noticed that my blue maxima has a few aiptasias growing on it.
I noticed small "dandellion like" filaments yesterday, and tonight as I was watching the tank, I noticed that there are a few aiptasias on the clam's shell.
I want to know if I can use kalk on them, or would the clam be harmed by it?
they are small, but they are close to the edge of the clamshell, so I am afraid that if I use kalk, I might burn her. And, I am afraid of taking the clam out of the water (I set up a lil 2.5 gall with saltwater) So I am keeping it in the small tank, with a pump.
What is the best method for getting rid of the aiptasias from my clam?

My options right now are

Kalk it and then siphon whatever is left
Get some aiptasia remover and inject them
Use a red hot needle and play Torquemada with those pests.

If it was on one of my rocks, I would burn it (literally), but that is out of the question with the clam.

Any suggestions, recomendations are welcome

Just Kalk it the clam will be fine. You can also take the clam out of the water and kalk the aiptasia and then place it back into the tank and you shouldn't have any problem, just try not to get any of the kalk on the clam flesh or into the shell opening.

You can also take the clam out of the tank and scrap off the aiptasia, just make sure you remove all the parts. After you scrap it off you may want to place it in a bucket of water and take a turkey baster and blow off any leftover aiptasia pieces.

I had aptasia on both of my clams. when I was taking my tank down Dean and Kris helped preform the aptaisa removal on them. We placed the clams in a large tupperware and kalked the aptasia. the clams were fine. just make sure there's enough water to cover them by a couple of inchs.

what i do is just take the clam out and scrub it off with a toothbrush rinse it off and put back in tank, works like a charm every time

i forgot to mention, i also used a toothbrush to scrub off the dead aptasia after kalking. just make sure you dedicate that toothbrush to the tank

Thanks for all the suggestions. I used kalk before on a blasto that came with a well hidden aiptasia (I guess that is the source of this).
I cleaned the clam used the kalk, then scrubbed it with my ex g/f's toothbrush (expletive deleted), and put it in a lil tupperware with phito floating in the tank, for about an hour. Still a bit in shock, but I'm sure she'll recover.

Just wanted to mention that you should be careful while handling the clam since any broken part of an apistasia that is left in the display tank will regenerate to a new one.

Thanks, that is why last night I put the clam in a small tank with fresh saltwater, and a pump for circulation, then after I did the Kalk treatment, I cleaned it with a toothbrush. After all was said and done, I dumped the water in the small tank, so everything was done outside of the tank
