Hey everyone, I am looking to.find out about how much does it cost to run a return pump on a monthly basis. Since it runs pretty much 24/7 I would like to know. The pump I am looking at consumes about 140watts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Multiply 140 watts by the hours in a month and divide by 1000 to obtain kilowatt-hours. Your electric bill will indicate the charge per kilowatt-hour. There might be other charges on the bill like "supply services" that will add to the kilowatt-hour charge. Here in Fairfield county, CT, that is about $15.

What's the reason for Months Per Year field? Does some year has more or less than 12 months?

The calculator is built to estimate the year, if you're only looking for monthly estimates you need to set it to 1 month. For yearly estimates not everyone runs a chiller year round nor do they need heaters in the summer, this allows you to adjust accordingly.
