This is my first post here as I usually visit Reef2Reef, but my brother suggested I try here being its more local.
So here's the deal... I'm setting up a brand new Marineland 180 on their high-end Monterey stand. The tank is 72x24x24 and the stand is 34" high. It's obviously a dual overflow tank.
I want to have a custom sump made but prefer some place on the Island or city, not mail order.
I wanted a sump where both overflows drain in the middle of the sump into a big 7x16 filter bag and have that same area boxed in at a 10" water height for the skimmer. Then have it baffle out to both the left & right sides for an area to put reactors, heaters, ect..., then on BOTH the very ends of the sump have a return pump area. There will be a pump for each return.
Does anyone know a place that builds acrylic sumps of good quality locally, preferably Long Island? I need it to also be able to hold enough backflow from the pumps when they're off, but every reputable place I've found is far away and requires substantial shipping.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
