I am planning on purchasing a 65 gallon, 70 gallon tech or 57 oceanic frameless w/overflow. I currently have 2 koralia 2 powerheads, heater, 70lbs live rock and 80 lbs live sand. My plan is on whichever tank I get to run the flow down to a 20 gallon sump that I will build myself and have a pump flow water back up to the tank. Does anyone have a design on how I can build the sump? I want to put a skimmer in the sump also, so if anyone has suggestions on what skimmer I will need for that size tank. Also let me know what else I will need as far as set up. I plan on putting fish and sps corals. Thank you.

Test kits.
Skimmer - you want to purchase one that is rated for 2 -3 X the size of the tank is a good rule of thumb.

Any thoughts about what lighting you will be using on the tank. That dictates a lot of the decisions you will be making about corals you'd like to add.

Great site for learning how to build a sump:
