I'm new to salt water aquariums. I have had a 10g aquarium running for about two and a half months. I have to small clowns, a royal gramma, live rock and 5 hermit crabs. Today. this weird translucent/white tenticle thing appeared (see attached picture). Is it some sort of anemone?
Thanks for your help!

Aptasia are rock anemones that are harmful but there can be a resolution:
Aptasia away or Joe's Juice- Calcium based substance that if swallowed by the mouth should kill them.
Peppermint shrimp or a copper band butter fly fish would enjoy that anemone.
Try to get rid of it before your whole tank becomes a breeding ground.
GOOD LUCK!
